Hardik Pandya stuns David Miller with a deadly ball

Hardik Pandya was brought back to bowl in the 15th over of the innings when the Proteas batters were going all guns blazing.

On the first ball of the over, Hardik stunned David Miller with a brutal delivery and it shifted the momentum in India’s favor. The pacer bowled a short of the length that Miller tried to slog but missed it completely.

David Miller was hit directly on the box and instantly fell to his knees. Hardik didn’t bother to check on the batter and went back to start his run-up. There was also a slight pause in the match as the batter only continued to bat after a short break.

Miller getting hit definitely shifted his focus as on the 5th ball of the same over, he was caught by Axar Patel near the boundary ropes.

The explosive batter was back in the hut after scoring 18 runs off 18 balls. His innings consisted of one four and one six. Talking about Hardik Pandya, he bowled all of his four overs in the match and conceded 50 runs while picking up just one wicket.

Earlier, India posted a huge score of 219/6 on the board, riding on the century from Tilak Varma and a fifty from the under-pressure Abhishek Sharma.

India’s bowler performed well but couldn’t help the side win in the previous match

India’s bowlers put up a spirited display in defending a modest target of 125 runs, giving South Africa a tough time at the crease.

Arshdeep Singh had made an early breakthrough by dismissing Ryan Rickelton. However, Varun Chakravarthy was the star of the show, delivering a superb spell of 4 overs and claiming five crucial wickets for just 17 runs.

His clever use of variations kept South Africa’s top-order guessing. Aiden Markram, Reeza Hendricks, and Marco Jansen all fell prey to Varun’s well-disguised wrong’uns, leaving South Africa at a shaky 66/6 in the 12th over.

Ravi Bishnoi bowled with accuracy and picked up a wicket of Andile Simelane. The leg-spinner went for just 21 runs in his four-over spell.

Hardik Pandya and Avesh Khan provided decent support, keeping their lines tight even though they couldn’t add to the wicket tally. However, it was India’s misfortune that despite bowling, they couldn’t fully capitalize, as Tristan Stubbs, along with Gerald Coetzee, took the Proteas to the win in the 19th over.
