Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 23rd match of IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, April 9.
Gujarat Titans will be up against RR after registering a dominating win over SRH in the last game and will look to continue the good work the team has done in achieving victories in the last three matches against MI, RCB, and SRH, respectively.
Meanwhile, RR clinched successive wins over CSK and PBKS after losing their first couple of matches and will look to carry the winning momentum in the Gujarat vs Rajasthan game on Wednesday

Openers: Shubman Gill (c), Sai Sudharshan
GT skipper Shubman Gill will start the innings along with left-hander Sai Sudharshan. The right-hander who will be coming into the match against RR on the back of a half-century has made an effort to play in an attacking manner this season after facing criticism over his strike rate.
Sai Sudharshan, on the other hand, has continued his rich vein of form that he showed against PBKS and has made useful contributions for the Gujarat Titans in the ongoing season.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Jos Buttler (wk), Shahrukh Khan, Sharfen Rutherford, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Washington Sundar
GT would be overwhelmed with the way the team’s middle order has performed in the four matches so far, starting with Jos Buttler who scored a match-winning half-century against RCB and was well supported by Sherfane Rutherford, who stitched a crucial partnership with Buttler to guide the team home.
Other than Buttler, Washington Sundar who was given an opportunity in the last match against SRH grabbed it with both hands and fell one run short of a well-deserved half-century but formed a crucial partnership with Shubman Gill to lay the platform for Gujarat Titans to earn a comfortable win
Having said that, GT would want batters like Shah Rukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, and Rashid Khan to get a hit in the upcoming match against SRH to get into a good rhythm for the matches to come
Bowlers: Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Ishant Sharma
Mohammed Siraj has been the standout bowler for the Gujarat Titans and has taken the responsibility upon himself to fill the void left by Kagiso Rabada who has flown back to South Africa. Siraj has used his experience to good advantage for the Gujarat Titans and has picked up wickets at crucial moments for the team
GT would want Siraj to get good support from the other end from experienced bowlers like Ishant Sharma who is the only cause of concern in Gujarat’s bowling lineup with respect to form
GT has one of the most lethal spin attacks in the tournament, with the likes of Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore taking charge. Sai Kishore has been the pick of the bowlers in the tournament so far. GT would want their experienced Afghan leg spinner Rashid Khan to get back among wickets.
