India National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir will be rejoining the team soon ahead of the second Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. As per the reports in ESPNCricinfo, it is learned that he has flown out of India and will join the squad on Tuesday.
India National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir, after the first Test against the Australia National Cricket Team, had to rush back home. The former skipper of the team left the squad due to personal reasons and then also missed India’s warmup game against Australia’s PM XI.
Gautam Gambhir flew back to India at the conclusion of the first Test in Perth on November 25. He left on November 26, and it was then reported that he would be back by the time the second game started. With four days remaining for the second game, the head coach will be taking over the charge of the team.
In his absence, Indian assistant coaches in Abhishek Nayar, Ryan ten Doeschate, and bowling coach Morne Morkel were helping the players in the training sessions. They also were in charge during the warmup game, which India won by six wickets and got good training with pink-ball.
