ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025 – Full schedule and match timings announced: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for the Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2025, set to begin on Wednesday, April 9. Pakistan has been granted hosting rights for the prestigious event, which will determine the final teams for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup 2025.
A total of 15 matches will be played in a round-robin format across two venues—Gaddafi Stadium and Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) Stadium—from April 9 to April 19. Six teams will compete in the tournament, with the top two securing qualification for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

The sixth edition of the qualifier will feature six teams, including four full members—Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Ireland. Scotland and Thailand earned their spots as the next two highest-ranked teams in the ICC Women’s ODI Team Rankings as of October 28, 2024.
The tournament will begin with two matches on the opening day—hosts Pakistan will face Ireland at Gaddafi Stadium, while West Indies will take on Scotland at Lahore City Cricket Association Stadium.
Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and hosts India have already secured their spots in the Women’s Cricket World Cup by finishing in the top six of the 10-team ICC Women’s Championship (2022-25). The World Cup is set to be played in India during October and November this year.

ICC CEO Geoff Allardice said that all six teams are just one step away from securing a World Cup berth. Allardice extended his best wishes to the teams and looked forward to an exciting tournament in Lahore.
“The six teams are just one step away from the Women’s Cricket World Cup and I am sure they would be all geared up for the competition,” Allardice said.
“On behalf of the ICC, I would like to wish all the participating teams the very best of luck and hope to see some competitive cricket in Lahore as a build-up to the World Cup in India.”
