The fans have been reacting to the hilarious moment, recalling the controversial Jonny Bairstow dismissal during last year’s Ashes. Bairstow left the crease under the assumption the ball was dead and was run out by Australia wicketkeeper Alex Carey. The incident sparked a huge controversy, leaving the cricket fraternities of Australia and England divided in opinions.

Pat Cummins recently featured in Major League Cricket and will not be travelling to England for their white-ball series in September. His primary objective is to prepare himself for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy which will involve five Test matches for the time since its introduction. It is already being labelled as the reigning Test champions’ biggest-ever challenge against India as they have lost the previous two editions.
