New Zealand National Cricket Team batter Will Young graced the start of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with a terrific innings in the ongoing match against Pakistan National Cricket Team. The curtain raiser of the tournament between the teams is taking place at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Will Young was the shining light for the New Zealand National Cricket Team with bat in the ongoing game against the Pakistan National Cricket Team. The opening batter looked positive right from the start as he hit bowlers comfortably, building a solid innings.
Despite other batters in the top and middle order struggling to get going, Will Young ensured that he carried on the start that he had and ended up slamming a sensational ton. The batter became the first centurion of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as he put his team at the top.
Will Young, after his ton, attempted to unleash himself and up the ante. He hit solid shots but couldn’t hit many runs after his century. His stay at the crease was cut short by the brilliance of Faheem Ashraf on the field as he took a great catch after stepping into the ground as a substitute.
Naseem Shah bowled a length ball onto the stumps, which didn’t rise as much. Will Young stayed still and looked to pull it away but ended up skewing it in the air off the bottom end of the bat. The ball went very high in the air and Faheem Ashraf came from deep square leg and took a staggering catch to remove the batter.
