With more than two inches of rain in the forecast Feb. 4, Santa Anita Park has announced the eight-race Sunday program has been canceled and that a pair of graded stakes, the $100,000 Las Virgenes Stakes (G3) and San Marcos Stakes (G3T), will be rescheduled for Feb. 10, with entries taken Feb. 7.
Although racing is canceled for Feb. 4, the National Weather Service forecast for Feb. 3 is very good. Accordingly, the 10-race program, which begins with first post time at 12:15 p.m. PT, will go forward as planned. Conditions for the main track and turf on Saturday are expected to be fast and firm.
