England Playing 11 vs Pakistan-4th T20I, Pakistan tour of England 2024

England takes on Pakistan in the fourth and final T20I at The Oval in London on May 30. The match starts at 11 pm IST which is 6.30 pm local time.

The third T20I was washed out due to rain and the weather forecast for the fourth T20I does not look good either. So far two matches have been washed out by rain.

England’s win in the second T20I keeps them ahead in the series. They scored 183 batting first and bowled out Pakistan for 160. After the third T20I, both teams have now played 31 matches, with England winning 19 and Pakistan nine. Two matches resulted in washouts.

England have already named their T20 World Cup squad. Jos Buttler will lead them in the tournament. They are the defending champions of the World Cup as well. Buttler might not play in the final T20I as he is on parental leave. In that case, Moeen Ali will lead the side. He missed the last T20I due to that reason.

Without Buttler, England might play the same XI that they played in the second T20I and ensure a commanding win over Pakistan.

Ben Duckett

Duckett will open the batting in case Jos Buttler skips the game. The southpaw will look to score some runs ahead of the T20 World Cup.

Phil Salt

Salt will open the batting with Duckett. He really had a good IPL 2024 scoring 432 runs in 12 league games. He had to miss the playoffs for national duty.

Will Jacks

Jacks can slot in at three. He too had an impactful IPL season for RCB scoring a century batting at that number. In the second T20I, he scored 23.

Jonny Bairstow (WK)

Bairstow can slot in at four. He is a top-order batter but with his experience, he can bat anywhere in the lineup. He scored 21 of 18 balls in the second T20I.

Harry Brook

Brrok can slot inat five. England’s batting depth allows players to bat at different positions. The right-hander will look to make the most of his chances. He scored just one in the second T20I.

Moeen Ali (C)

In Buttler’s absence, Moeen Ali will lead the side. He is among the most experienced players in this England T20I squad. He is their major off-spinner as well.

Liam Livingstone

Livingstone will bat at seven. He returned early from the IPL to treat his knee injury and has returned fit into the side. He can also bowl his off and leg spin.

Chris Jordan

Jordan will bat at eight. He is England’s designated death bowler and is a part of the T20 World Cup squad as well. He took 1/31 in the second T20I.

Jofra Archer

Archer will slot in at nine. He took 2/ 28 in the second T20I and proved his match fitness after staying out for a long time due to his elbow injury.

Adil Rashid

Adil Rashid is the specialist leggie in the England side. He took one for 25 in the last game and has taken 108 T20I wickets. Rashid will have a big role in England’s defense of the T20 World Cup.

Reece Topley

Topley concludes the likely England lineup against Pakistan in the final T20I. He swings the new ball and thus is a good option to open the bowling. He took 3/41 in the second T20I.
