Las Vegas, NV – The Grade 3 Eatontown Stakes takes place at Monmouth Park on the Jersey Shore on Saturday, June 21. Fillies and mares three years old and upward will be featured as they go 1 1/16 miles on Monmouth Park’s turf track searching for the winner’s portion of the $100,000 purse.

Orion Moon – French bred Christophe Clement pupil won two straight last summer including an Allowance in June and an Allowance Optional Claiming at Saratoga in July. She has just three starts since – a fifth in the minor Speed Boat Stakes in September, a second behind Coffee Clique in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream March 26 and a nice second by a neck to Waterway Run last time out in the Grade 3 Beaugay Stakes at this distance at Belmont Park May 3. She ended 2013 with a second and a third respectively in similar races at Laurel Park and had an eighth in her only stakes action to date – the minor Lady Baltimore Stakes at Laurel Park in September. This after two wins at Delaware Park last summer. Nashly’s Vow has four wins, three seconds and two third place finishes in 10 career starts and enters her graded stakes debut in very good form. Xavier Perez will be in the saddle of the 118 pound high weight from the rail.

She did win four of 11 starts in 2013 including the Grade 3 Autumn Miss to go along with five seconds and three third place finishes however. Lady Ten hopes to return to her 2012 form after three straight off-the-board finishes. Gabriel Saez gets the mount aboard the only graded stakes winner in the field from gate 8.
