Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray have ended their coaching partnership after six months, the Serbian tennis champion announced on social media.
“Thank you, coach Andy, for all the hard work, fun & support over last six months on & off the court. I really enjoyed deepening our friendship together,” Djokovic wrote on Instagram.
Murray, a former World No. 1, joined his former on-court rival as coach shortly before this year’s Australian Open, where Djokovic reached the semifinal before losing to Alexander Zverev.
The 37-year-old Serb has struggled for fitness this season and will feature in the Geneva Open next, as he prepares to win his fourth French Open, later this month.
Murray said, “Thanks to Novak for the unbelievable opportunity to work together and thanks to his team for all their hard work over the past six months. I wish Novak all the best for the rest of the season.”
