Digvesh Rathi brought out the notebook after dismissing his Delhi teammate Priyansh Arya during the ongoing game between Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
Defending 171 runs, LSG needed a wicket early on, and the breakthrough was provided by Digvesh Rathi. PBKS had raced away to 20 runs after just two overs before Rishabh Pant introduced the spinner into the attack, and the move paid off instantly.
On the first ball of the over, Arya hit Digvesh Rathi for a four. The LSG spinner would have dismissed the PBKS opener on the following delivery, but the latter was dropped by Mitchell Marsh at slip.
Digvesh Rathi had the last laugh against Priyansh Arya
However, Rathi still had the last laugh as he dismissed Arya two balls later. On the fifth ball of the over, Rathi bowled a short ball outside the off stump, and Arya decided to go for a big shot. The left-handed batsman went for a pull shot but ended up top-edging the ball.

Shardul Thakur took a simple catch in the mid-on region to give LSG the much-needed early breakthrough. And as Arya was making his way towards the dressing room, Rathi decided to give his friend a send-off.
He ran towards Arya before bringing out the notebook for celebration. For those who don’t know about the celebration, the bowlers use one of their palms as an imaginary notebook and pretend to write the name of the batter they dismissed before checking it off the list.
Kesrick Williams-Virat had exchanged similar actions
The celebration was made famous by former West Indies allrounder Kesrick Williams. Later, Virat Kohli had also brought out the same celebration after taking Williams to the cleaners during a T20I game in 2019.
While Rathi and the other LSG players were celebrating the wicket, the camera turned towards the stands where LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka also looked pumped up.
