Delhi Capitals Schedule for IPL 2025

Delhi Capitals are one of the eight original franchises of the Indian Premier League (IPL) not to celebrate the title even in 17 seasons.

Since finishing as the third-ranked side in 2021, Capitals couldn’t qualify for the playoffs in the last three editions. Last year, they finished at six under Rishabh Pant’s captaincy.

With Pant’s departure from the franchise, the management announced India’s left-arm spin all-rounder, Axar Patel, as the new captain. The southpaw is confident about the role after contributing to the side’s Champions Trophy 2025 victory.

Faf Du Plessis, who captained the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the last three seasons, will be Delhi Capitals’ vice-captain.

The Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA will be the home ground for DC as they will start their campaign for the 18th edition of the competition against the Lucknow Super Giants. Even though Axar will lead the Capitals, it will be the meet-up for KL Raul and Rishabh Pant against their old franchise.

A week later, they will lock horns with the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the same venue against the runners-up of the last season, Sunrisers Hyderabad.

They will travel to the MA Chidambaram Stadium for the first afternoon game of the season against the Chennai Super Kings on April 05.

Delhi Capitals will stay in the south zone for their next fixture at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Their first game of the season at the Arun Jaitley Stadium will be on April 13 against the Mumbai Indians.

The five-time champions have collected six wins in the last 10 games against the opponent, including four successive victories in 2020.

Delhi Capitals will move to Lucknow for the fixture against the Super Giants on April 22. The Rishabh Pant-led has enjoyed a lead of 3-2 over the 2020-runners-up.

They will host the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, which will host the Kolkata Knight Riders in the next fixture on April 29.

In the return fixture of the tournament, DC will visit the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on May 5 against theSunrisers Hyderabad. Against this opponent, the Capitals have won 11 games in 24 fixtures.

They will move to Dharamshala for the next encounter against the Punjab Kings, as the Axar-led side will return home for the next game against the Gujarat Titans.

At the Wankhede Stadium, they will end their group stage of the competition against the Mumbai Indians on May 15.
