In the fourth game of IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals (DC) will be taking on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The game is scheduled to take place on Monday (March 24) at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.
Both teams will be keen to make a strong start to their season after missing out on the playoffs last year. While they remained in contention till the end, they eventually paid the price for their inferior run rate. Both DC and LSG had seven wins, the same number of wins as fourth-placed Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
However, they failed to finish in the top four owing to the net run rate. They will be keen to ensure that their fate remains in their own hand this season and would be looking to start the season on a winning note to gain early momentum.

Visakhapatnam hosted two games last season and both were high-scoring matches. In the first game, DC scored 191/5 before Chennai Super Kings scored 171/6.
In the second game played at the venue, Kolkata Knight Riders posted a huge total of 272/7. In reply, DC had finished their innings on 166 in less than 18 overs.
Looking at the trend, both teams will want to bat first and make the most of the good pitch before trying to defend the total.

Both LSG and DC missed out on a playoffs spot last season only because of their inferior net run-rate. Even though both the teams won seven of their league games, they could not finish in the top four.
