CSK vs PBKS: “My Tweet Has Nothing To Do With The Great Mr. Gavaskar’s Comments”

Last Update on: April 28th, 2023 at 10:18 pm

Ambati Rayudu, the experienced batsman for Chennai Super Kings, stated that his tweet was unrelated to Sunil Gavaskar’s remarks regarding his performance during Chennai Super Kings’ loss to Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Thursday, in IPL 2023. Rayudu clarified his previous statement on social media after it was associated with Gavaskar’s comments on Friday, April 28.

After Chennai’s loss to Rajasthan Royals, Sunil Gavaskar had raised doubts about the team’s decision to name Ambati Rayudu as an Impact Player while not giving him sufficient playing time. The experienced player, Ambati Rayudu, was dismissed for a 2-ball duck during the game, which ended in CSK’s 32-run defeat to RR.

He faced just two deliveries and hit the second one straight to the deep mid-wicket fielder off R Ashwin’s off-spin. Ambati Rayudu came in to bat at No. 5 during the 11th over, when the required run rate was above 10 runs per over, leaving him with little time to settle into his innings. Despite the pressure, he tried to attack Ashwin, who had already claimed the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane in the same over.
