Las Vegas, NV – The Grade 3 Bob Hope Stakes comes our way from Del Mar in the great state of California this Saturday, November 14. A purse of $100,000 will be on the line for two year olds willing to go seven furlongs on Del Mar’s dirt track.
A field of seven Juveniles will take to the track in the Bob Hope Stakes – race 8 on Del Mar’s Saturday schedule. Post time is 4:00 PM. Let’s take a peek into the past performances of all seven entries for this Grade 3 stakes.
Toews On Ice – Bob Baffert trained colt enters on a nice two race win streak – both minor stakes. Last time out was the Speakeasy Stakes by 4 1/4 lengths at Santa Anita October 18 after the Barretts Juvenile Stakes by an incredible 7 1/2 lengths at Los Alamitos in September. He started his career with consecutive thirds on this track. Toews On Ice has been terrific lately and looks for his first graded stakes score from gate 4 with Martin Garcia aboard.
Street Vision – Mark Glatt trained colt has three career starts with a win and a second place finish. Last time out was a respectable second behind Toews On Ice in the minor Speakeasy Stakes at Santa Anita October 18 after a maiden score on that same track September 27 and a four in his debut – on this track August 29. Street Vision has shown improvement every time out and hopes to keep that trend going from post 3.
On Fire – has three career starts with a win and a third place finish but enters off an ugly eighth in the Grade 1 FrontRunner Stakes at Santa Anita September 26. Before that was a maiden score here August 26 and a third in his debut – also on this track in July. On Fire is the only entry with graded stakes experience and looks for a strong bounce back from gate 6 with Victor Espinoza in the saddle.

Mac Daddy Mac – has just one career start for trainer Katherine Rivto and it was a good one – a maiden score by 4 1/2 lengths at Santa Anita October 24. He looks to make it 2-for-2 when he leaves from post 5 with the legendary Gary Stevens aboard.
Dr Dorr – intriguing Bob Baffert trained colt will hit the track for the second time Saturday. His debut was an impressive one – a maiden score at Santa Anita October 10. Mike Smith has been tabbed to keep Dr Dorr on the winning path when they leave from the rail Saturday.
