A bizarre incident involving the star Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) all-rounder Liam Livingstone happened during the 14th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Wednesday, April 2.
The high-octane match between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Gujarat Titans is currently underway at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Liam Livingstone sends his bat flying
English all-rounder Livingstone was one of the top buys of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction.
RCB spent a whopping INR 8.75 crore to acquire the services of the star spin-bowling all-rounder, who had set his base price as INR 2 crore for the intense mega auction.
So far, Liam Livingstone has looked in decent touch for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League both with the bat and ball and he is expected to receive a good backing even if he fails in some matches as he brings the X-factor with him.
Meanwhile, during the RCB vs GT IPL 2025 match, Livingstone was part of a bizarre moment. On the first ball of the 9th over, the veteran Gujarat Titans (GT) right-arm pacer Ishant Sharma bowled a back-of-a-length delivery to Livingstone outside off-stump.
The Englishman tried to punch the ball down to the third man before losing his bat. Notably, his bat went flying in the air and he completed the single without the bat in his hand.
