Abhishek Sharma got to his half-century in just 17 balls and became the batter with the second-fastest fifty for India National Cricket Team in the shortest format of the game. Currently, Yuvraj Singh holds the record of the fastest fifty for India, as he achieved the feat in 12 balls.
Abhishek Sharma, after getting to the half-century, activated his beast mode and put on an exhibition of high-class batting. He timed the ball to perfection and then reached his century in no time, slamming his second ton in the T20I format.

Abhishek Sharma got to his century in just 37 balls as he became the batter with the second-fastest century for the India National Cricket Team. He is now behind Rohit Sharma, who has the fastest century in T20Is, as he achieved the feat in just 35 balls in 2017 against Sri Lanka National Cricket a few years back.
Abhishek Sharma has been in the red hot form in the ongoing series. The left-hander started the series on high as he hit a magnificent half-century in the first match and, after that, provided the India National Cricket Team with a solid start in the rest of the games.
With the century in the ongoing game, Abhishek Sharma has made his case strong for the T20 World Cup 2026. The batter would be keen to carry on his good form and help India National Cricket Team win games in T20Is.
