Ayush Badoni, Ravi Bishnoi combine to take the Best Catch of IPL 2025; Prabhsimran Singh departs

Ayush Badoni and Ravi Bishnoi, on Tuesday (April 1), joined hands to pull off a sensational relay catch during the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

With PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh taking the bowlers to the cleaners, LSG needed something special to get rid of him. And the moment of brilliance was provided by Ayush Badoni and his teammate Ravi Bishnoi.

Prabhsimran scored a quickfire half-century

After failing to score big in the previous game against the Gujarat Titans, Prabhsimran had given PBKS a solid start against LSG. At the end of the tenth over, he was batting on 69 runs off just 33 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes.

He was up against Digvesh Rathi in the 11th over and decided to hit the spinner for a big shot on the very first ball of the over. It was a length delivery from Rathi, and the right-handed batsman decided to play a slog sweep. However, he could not make a good connection, although the ball still looked destined to cross the boundary at mid-wicket.

Bishnoi and Badoni take a sensational relay catch

Ayush Badoni, however, had other plans. He took the catch just inches away from the boundary ropes, but was losing his balance. However, before going over the ropes, he decided to toss the ball in the playing area.

Although Ayush Badoni saved a certain boundary for his team, a wicket looked unlikely after he tossed the ball. However, Ravi Bishnoi came up with a diving effort at the last moment to complete a sensational catch.

Earlier in the game, LSG finished their innings on 171/7. They were off to a poor start after being asked to bat first, but managed to recover and post a decent total.
