Australia are in top gear at Brisbane, reducing India to 51/4 after posting 445 runs in the first innings

Coming to the match between India and Australia, the Pat Cummins-led side are in the driver’s seat. So far, the match, which is marred by rain, has been all about them as they have dominated with both bat and ball and look favorites to win the game.

After being asked to bat first, they came up with a staggering effort. They posted a massive total of 445 runs, with Travis Head (152) and Steve Smith (101) slamming centuries. A half-century by Alex Carey in the end powered them to a total of around 450 runs.

With the ball, then, they have been top-notch. The hosts removed four Indian wickets quickly in Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant. At stumps on Day 3, India were 51/4 with KL Rahul (30*) and Rohit Sharma at the crease. The visitors would be hoping that the duo stitch a big partnership and bail the team out of trouble.
