She scalped four wickets and scored 146 runs across the three ODIs to earn the No. 1 spot in the ICC Women’s ODI All-Rounder Rankings on Tuesday, January 21. The Australian all-rounder surpassed South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp to claim the top spot in the ICC Women’s ODI All-Rounder Rankings with a career-high 469 rating points.

Gardner has 25 more points than Marizanne Kapp. The highlight of Gardner’s ODI series heroics was her maiden century. Ashleigh Gardner smashed her maiden ODI hundred in the third ODI against England at Hobart’s Bellerive. The Australian all-rounder starred with both bat and ball in the first ODI, taking 3/19 in 6.1 overs and scoring an unbeaten 42 off 44 balls.
Her all-round efforts were instrumental in Australia sweeping the three-match ODI series against England Women. With this show, Gardner reached a new career high in the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings. With 648 rating points, the Australia Women star has made it into the top 10, climbing five spots.
West Indies’ Hayley Matthews shines in ICC Women’s ODI Batter Rankings
Apart from Ashleigh Gardner, West Indies’ Hayley Matthews made a big move in the batting rankings, jumping four spots to enter the top five in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Batter Rankings. Hayley Matthews played a match-winning knock of 104* off 93 balls to help West Indies record a nine-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the first ODI in Saint Kitts and Nevis.
On the other hand, South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt remains at the top of the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings with 773 points, while India’s Smriti Mandhana jumped to second place with 738 points after a stellar ODI series against Ireland.

Kim Garth and Alana King make big gains in the ICC Rankings for bowlers
Speaking about ICC Women’s ODI Bowling Rankings, Sophie Ecclestone remained at the top with 770 points, followed by Ashleigh Gardner (724 points) and Megan Schutt (696 points). India’s Deepti Sharma jumped to the fourth spot with one spot gain, thanks to her performance against Ireland.
Australia’s Kim Garth and Alana King have climbed to sixth and seventh places, respectively, jumping four and five spots, respectively, in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Bowling Rankings.
