The India National Cricket Team were top-notch with the bat and ball throughout the series. But one of the biggest factors behind the win was the fielding that they put in. The likes of skipper Suryakumar Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Rinku Singh, and Dhruv Jurel were all electric.
But the best fielder of the series was given to Dhruv Jurel. After the fielding coach T Dilip announced the winner, Suryakumar Yadav first went towards Varun Chakravarthy, and it seemed that the mystery spinner would get the medal, but that wasn’t the case.
Suryakumar Yadav took the U-turn and went towards Abhishek Sharma and Dhruv Jurel. He created a bit of suspense before giving the medal to the keeper-batter.

I think whatever was thrown at us, we were absolutely top-notch – T Dilip
India fielding coach T Dilip was happy with the way the team performed. He lauded the players for reflecting great skills. He, in particular, mentioned Varun Chakravarthy for his heroics. Speaking in a video posted by BCCI, he said:
“Phenomenal stuff boys. When it comes to fielding, I think we, as a team, always try to be aggressive. And even in this series, we showed that fielding is not just about skill, it’s an attitude thing. But when you are on the ground, we are not sure about how many balls come your way. We cannot control that.
“But we can definitely control our intent, our awareness and our readiness and showed up in that series. We were thrown different challenges throughout the series, whether it is due, whether it is bigger outfields, whether it is faster outfields, lights.”
“I think whatever was thrown at us, we were absolutely top-notch. Very well done. Special mention to Varun, your hard work in the practice sessions really replicated in which you go. Now, this is a series medal, which we look at as consistency throughout the tournament.”
