“Remember the names of future champions”

India emerged as the champions of the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 with a thumping win over South Africa in the final played at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was a dominating performance from the girls in blue who continued their stupendous run in the tournament.

After electing to bat first, South Africa were bundled out for a below-par 82 in 20 overs. Indian spinners were at it again as they shared a staggering nine wickets between them and didn’t allow South Africa to get away.

India ensured to chase down the target without many hiccups and reached there in just 11.2 overs. Opener Gongadi Trisha continued her great run with the bat and finished with 44 off 33 balls. Vice-captain Sanika Chalke remained unbeaten on 26 off 22 balls and hit the winning runs as well.

After the win, the social media erupted in joy and congratulated the team on winning the trophy. Former India offspinner Ravichandran Ashwin was also one of them.
