India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli didn’t have a great outing with the bat in the ongoing first Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. The opening game of the series between the teams is taking place at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
India National Cricket Team opted to bat first, and they aren’t off to a great start. After both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal bagged ducks, it was expected that Virat Kohli would set the stage on fire and ball his team out of trouble after they lost two quick wickets.
But this wasn’t the case as Virat Kohli’s horrible run with the bat continued. He looked very active at the crease, and with the way he moved his feet, it seemed that we were up for something special. But it was Josh Hazlewood who had his number yet again.
Josh Hazlewood bowled a short ball that climbed sharply and got too big on Virat Kohli. The edge was found around the bat’s shoulder, and it went for a comfortable catch at first slip. The ball nipped away a touch in the channel as the batter came for the forward press that left him in a poor position.
