Thorpedo Anna capped a sensational 3-year-old campaign with an emphatic score over older rivals in the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) Nov. 2 at Del Mar.
Owned by Brookdale Racing, Mark Edwards, Judy Hicks, and Magdalena Racing (Sherri McPeek) and trained by Kenny McPeek, Thorpedo Anna landed her fifth grade 1 stakes of 2024 with a 2 1/2-length win over Raging Sea . Leading the way gate-to-wire as the 2-5 favorite under jockey Brian Hernandez Jr., the daughter of Fast Anna completed the 1 1/8 miles in 1:49.10 on a fast main track.
Raging Sea was second over Candied in third.
