India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli played a key role in India’s victorious Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. Kohli might have failed to make an impact in the final against New Zealand but played two vital knocks during the tournament.
However, he didn’t celebrate much despite the historic occasion for Team India. Not only him, but the other Indian players also left the squad soon to be with their families and loved ones before joining their respective IPL teams.

Where did Virat Kohli go after India’s CT 2025 2025 win?
According to PTI, Virat Kohli and his celebrity wife Anushka Sharma left the hotel together right after the Indian team returned from the Dubai International Cricket Stadium late at night on Sunday.
Anushka was present in the ground to watch the final between India and New Zealand right from the start. Along with her, the wife of another star Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma, Ritika Sajdeh, was also present in the stadium to cheer the team.
After India won the match, Kohli was seen celebrating the moment with Anushka Sharma. Both of them shared some smiles with each other as Kohli seemed satisfied with his performance. Even Rohit was also celebrating the moment with his wife and daughter.
What about the other Indian players?
While Virat Kohli left the team hotel late at night, the other Indian players also left the next day along with their respective families. However, some players also opted to stay back for a couple of days to rest themselves.
India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir and the young fast bowler Harshit Rana also arrived in Delhi on Monday night. Rana will soon join his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming IPL season.
“All the players with families left from Dubai on Monday. There are some players who have stayed back for a couple of days,” a BCCI source was quoted as saying by PTI.
The players made a silent return from their victorious Champions Trophy campaign which was a surprise since it was a huge achievement. However, it was mainly due to the lack of time between the end of Champions Trophy and the start of IPL 2025.
The players have opted to rest ahead of a long and hectic IPL season which is the main reason why the BCCI didn’t plan any big felicitation or any bus parade for them. The board had made huge arrangements after India’s T20 World Cup triumph last year.
The team had also met India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi before departing for Mumbai for an open-bus parade where thousands of fans gathered in numbers in Mumbai’s Marine Drive. The team was later felicitated by the BCCI at Wankhede Stadium.
