The India National Cricket Team might have been facing England in the ongoing three-match ODI series, but all the eyes are on Jasprit Bumrah, their key weapon who is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for his medical assessments.
The Indian ace speedster is currently nursing a back spasm that he sustained during the fifth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia. Now, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian cricket team are eagerly waiting for his scan reports.
Jasprit Bumrah’s medical assessment completed at the NCA
On Friday, February 7, a Times of India report claimed that Jasprit Bumrah’s scans and complete assessment have been completed at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, and a comprehensive medical report is expected within the next 24 hours.

This report will be crucial in deciding the next steps for the fast bowler’s comeback. It is also being said that Bumrah is likely to remain at the NCA in Bengaluru for discussions with the BCCI’s medical team and mapping out a clear plan for his rehabilitation and availability for selection.
The report also revealed that New Zealand’s Dr. Rowan Schouten, who was previously consulted during Bumrah’s January scans, might be kept in the loop for his expert opinion once the latest reports are ready. Dr. Schouten’s insights are also likely to be taken into account in any decision-making.
