On Friday, November 15, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Player Auction List was officially announced by the governing body.
A total of 574 players have been shortlisted to go under the hammer at the IPL Auction 2025, which is scheduled to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25.

A total of 1574 players had originally registered for the IPL Auction 2025
Originally, a total of 1574 players had registered for the IPL Auction 2025, out of which 1,165 were Indians, and 409 were overseas. The list featured 320 capped players, 1,224 uncapped players, and 30 players from Associate Nations.
Meanwhile, the governing body has now trimmed down the list, and now a total of 574 players will be featured in the auction. There are 366 Indians, 208 overseas players, and 3 players from association nations that will be going under the hammer. Talking further about the breakdown of 574 players, 318 are Indian uncapped players and 12 uncapped overseas players.
Although 574 players will be featured in the auction, only 204 could be sold as the 10 teams only have 204 slots open, including 70 slots for overseas players.
