Sean Abbott dismissed with a stunning catch Marco Jansen (X)
Sean Abbott took an outstanding catch to dismiss Marco Jansen in the third ODI between Australia and South Africa.
Australia’s Sean Abbott pulled off a stunning catch during the third one-day international of the five-match series at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom on Tuesday.
The Aussie took the athletic catch in the 47th over of the innings to send back Marco Jansen as the South African batter tried to clear the inner fielders with a lofted shot. The ball after it left the bat, seemed destined to comfortably sail over the boundary ropes for a six.
But Abbott had other plans.

Standing at sweeper cover, Abbott ran to his left and lept at full stretch and to everyone’s surprise and disbelief, took a one-handed catch. He even crashed onto the field but miraculously held onto the ball to make the catch count.
Such was the magnificence of the catch, that even Marco Jansen was left standing in disbelief as his hand unknowingly went up to his head before he walked back to the dressing room.
