South Africa National Cricket Team pacer Corbin Bosch achieved a massive feat in the history of the Test cricket. The right-arm fast bowler became the fifth player from his National team to pick a wicket on the first ball of his career in the longest format of the game.
South Africa National Cricket Team pacer Corbin achieved the feat during the ongoing first match of the two-match Test series against the Pakistan National Cricket Team. The series opener between the two teams is taking place at the Supersport Park in Centurion.

The pacer was introduced into the attack after the drinks break, and he made sure that he made an immediate impact on his team in the match after an unlucky first hour of play.
Bosch bowled a delivery that was pitched up full and slanting across the outside off. Shan Masood seemed to have lost his concentration as he went hard at the ball. The Pakistan National Cricket Team skipper went for a loose drive away from his body and got a thick outside edge.
The ball flew to the gully region, where Marco Jansen took a sensational catch. Bosch drew the first blood for the South Africa National Cricket Team as the Pakistan National Cricket Team skipper was back in the hut after scoring 17 runs off 58 balls.

With the wicket on the first ball of his career in Tests, Bosch became the third pacer to achieve the feat in 2024. He joined Shamar Joseph and Tshepo Moreki to achieve the feat. Also, it is for first time in Test history that three bowlers have achieved this feat in a calendar year.

Shamar Joseph dismissed Steven Smith on his first ball at the Adelaide Oval in January, while Tshepo Moreki got Devon Conway at Mount Maunganui in February. Overall, Corbin Bosch became the 25th bowler in the history of Test cricket to take a wicket on the first ball of their career.
